i don't think there would be a company without the leadership. you don't come across an elon musk every day, read his wiki.
does he do everything right? who does? he excels where it counts most. wall street doesn't like him? who cares.

Just because he is a billionaire, genius, and visionary doesn't mean he is perfect. Far from it. He has tons of faults. Just like you and me. I do overall trust his integrity, though.

I am still bearish. I don't follow Tesla except for the entertainment value, but given what I do know, I cannot see how the company can survive. And I truly think the "420, funding secured," quote was outright stoned texting. My feelings about Elon Musk are spiraling downward. He's a lot my CEO. I like a lot of what he says (except for the stoner stuff), but don't think he is reliable. He is pretty inspiring. Kind of like Benny Hinn.

If you only follow for entertainment, you are obviously only getting the entertaining news.
The challenge in front of Tesla is daunting, but I do believe they are up to the task.
Rather than just following the entertainment news, I encourage you to read more of the actual reports.

I stopped using TSLA as a trading vehicle when they initiated the Musk Clan Bailout Plan and absorbed Solar City. There was no longer a strike price and an expiration date that I was comfortable with. I turned a profit selling puts. I turned a profit holding the stock. I turned a profit selling calls.

In his more sober days when he would answer those boring boneheaded questions, Elon said they had a production line capable of 5000 vehicles/week. They weren't going to add a second line that would double production to 10000 until the first one was running at speed.

He also said there is no room in the existing plant to build anything else. Any new product needs to find a factory.

There isn't a settlement until a judge approves a settlement. Thanks to Musk's tweet after hours the lawyers on both sides now have tougher jobs. Maybe the judge will find the tweet humorous but I suspect not. I don't think a lot of judges have a sense of humor.

I am looking forward to this quarter's earnings call and to seeing the SEC filing.
