2 out of 3 traffic lights were placed during past three years just for controlling summer vacationers. They become mostly blinking yield lights during off season.;)

Sounds like my commute... 3 traffic lights and 18 miles of driving on road with speed limits of 45 and 55... Seems the Prius (and most cars) like 40-45...just kind of on the slow side lol

Actually, if I could go slower than 45-55 mph, I think I can make my entire commute (37.6miles) all in EV at least during warmer season. I can't charge my car at work, and I always run out of EV range a few miles before reaching home. Problem is I get tailgated by big pickup trucks if I go any slower. :( Over the past 14 months of Prime ownership, I was able to complete this round trip all on EV just twice.

People are funny, they see a Prius they tailgate, even if I'm going 20 over. But if I'm driving the speed limit I'll end up behind a pic-up truck going 40 in a 55 :cautious:
