HI. I have a 2004 Prius going strong on second battery pack at 186,000 miles and have lurked here off and on through the years. Now I'm ready to buy a Prime.

A Maryland dealership has given me out-the-door prices for a Silver 2018 Premium and a Blizzard White 2017 Advanced, both new. Do these sound like fair deals to you? Thanks for the help!

    2018 Silver Premium
    -Cost 25,990
    -Processing charge 300
    -Tags 299
    TOTAL $28,298.40

    2017 Blizzard White Advanced
    -Cost 27,874
    -Processing charge 300
    -Tags 299
    -Tax 1672.44
    TOTAL $30,145.44

Oops -somehow I left tax off the first one. Tax is 1709.40. The total is correct.

I'm hoping to buy tomorrow if someone can reassure me that the prices are fair. I'm leading towards the advanced because of the color and the safety features.

Go for the advanced . I think you will be pleased with what the advanced has to offer over the premium in features . I love my advanced.

Price looks comparable to some of great deals last year. Just remember 2017 model is essentially two years old model at this point, and may have been sitting on the dealer's lot over a year undriven.

    Thanks everyone!

Bisco, the 2017 Advanced had a $6,963 discount with no rebate and the 2018 Premium had a $1,513 discount with a $2,500 rebate. This was at Jim Coleman Toyota in Bethesda MD.

I was trying to be practical and take a good deal that they were eager to move off their lot. But at the last minute today I couldn't reconcile myself to the colors. So the dealership is getting me a Blue Magnetism Advanced from another state and I am paying more. I won't say how much - at least it's under MSRP! I hope to keep the car a very long time and want to smile when I look at it.
