Hi Guys. I am planning to purchase a salvage yard battery pack for my 2010 Prius. I have two to choose from: 2015 Prius with 70k miles or a 2013 Prius with 59k miles. Both are the same price. I am leaning towards the newer battery back even though it has a little bit more mileage. Which would you choose and why?

Right, most of us believe age is more important than miles. I would also go with the newer one. If you have the opportunity to take the cover off the pack you are buying, check that the modules have similar date codes to be sure none of them have been replaced with older ones.

You have a gen2 Prius, both packs are from a gen3 Prius, the HW/SW (hardware/software) interfaces are different, if you plan to replace individual modules, good luck.
    The newer the better.

No, 2010 is the first year of Gen 3. He should be able to swap the pack straight in either with or without the electronics.

I have the PA080 error code. I already swapped 6 modules 2 months ago but the code just came back so I am just looking for a salvage battery pack which will definitely last longer.

I'd check dealers for a new pack it should be around 1600$, after the core deposit refund, no three year warranty because you're installing, just one year, but new.
