About a minute to peal off the protective tape and place it over the white plastic.
    Easy peasy.

Yeh I see those all the time but it drives me nuts when I can't find the info for a simple job. I want to paint match the whole thing not just the bottom. Its my OCD that drives me to do things the hard way(y)

The reason you can't find instructions is:
That is a DANGEROUS piece of equipment......one wrong move and you can be DEAD.

And then if you don't get it back in exactly right and there is an accident.......you could be DEAD again.

The warning about getting a professional to service it is made for a VERY good reason.

Try not to let your vanity put you in the hospital.......or worse.
Learning to live with things that you don't exactly "like" is a good skill to have.

This reminds me of the time I was going to tension the torsion spring on our garage door. I got it wound up two or three turns, then started sweating, backed off, got the pros.
