    Is it my wheel bearing, rotors or brake pads?

    How do I describe it... well it has this squealing noise and it's proportional to my speed.

    Heard this while I had my windows rolled down.

    Does is have anything to do with my caliper covers?

    This just started today after I went into a dip at about 45 mph. ...

    Anyone know what it might be??
    @sfv41901, @Accordlayingkit ,@Ramtart ,@Burna J @TopRamen, @Johnsk93 @orenji, @apt5020 ??

    Anyone??

    Hey bud, if you think it's your caliper cover inspect the cover and see if it's scratched. You can also remove the wheel and see if the caliper cover is loose. Try that first. Good luck!

    Like @Ramtart said, just give it a look. Should be easy to see if the covers are rubbing on the rotor or not. If they are, just relocate them and torque them back to spec. I've hit some big dips and never had a problem with them..

    Did some short distance test drive and I don't hear it anymore.

    Don't know what's going on. Caliper covers are tight. All locking nuts still in place.

    Once I go on my longer commute drive will test again.

    Went on you tube for wheel bearing noise and it does not sound anything like it. Thank goodness. They are expensive to replace

    By "caliper covers", what are you guys referring to? This?:

    Sometimes a pebble can lodge between that plate and the disc.

    I'm hoping it was just a temporary pebble obstruction that finally dislodged itself after a few short drive tests.

    Dust cover how it is called, but yes, next to the caliper.
    My question is, as there are really few Priuses if there is any around here in junkyards, those dust covers are interchangeable with another Toyota? brand?
