Left-side lower control arm replacement

Or front engine mount removed so engine can be slightly jacked up.

 

I just did this 4 weeks ago. There are just 2 bolts holding the subframe on each side that you can get at easily. I put a jack under the right side and took the right bolts out and then dropped the jack down. Then I had to gently pry the subframe down to slip the front control arm bolt out.
One thing I learned the hard way is that when you are torquing the control arm bolts you need to at least put the car down on its wheel and load the arm to settle in the bushings, before tightening the bolts. I actually used a jack to load the control arm at about ride level and torqued the bushings loaded. If you don't do this you may get play and noise from the front bushing even with a brand new control arm, like I did.

 

Did you complete the job and get rid of the creek? I replaced mine because it sagged and couldn't be aligned. I get creeking but pretty sure from sway bar bushings.
