1000 hp 2G Prius

Yet again more proof that decades from now the Gen2 Prius will be valued in the same way as the '68 Mustang of our high school days...

 

One of the very few Prii with a clutch and stick shift?

 

I’m having a difficult time believing they fit a 6.2 L V-8 with a giant Whipple into the engine bay of the Prius....

 

The Prius outer shell may be there, but as the builder says, everything is gone. You can see the engine under the hood here: Hellcat-Powered Prius Double frame-rail chassis, stick shift 6 speed, the works...

Well, Tesla is beating 600-800hp cars at the race track... And Tesla might have an advantage at 0-60mph, but more than 1000hp will likely blow past it in the end... Of course MPG is probably a few gallons per 1/4 mile. So there's that...

 

The fact that they used a Prius body was meant to be a joke I would guess.
It wouldn't surprise me that someone didn't have a monster Tesla in the works that sound like a fire breathing dragon.

 

I drove a Tesla S (once). The owner told me to hold on and floor it. Between the instant full power from the electric motor, all-wheel drive and zero tire spin, they hook up just like a slot car. It was just short of terrifying. I think they would increase the appeal if it had an "exhaust" sound system.
