Guys, please assist if anyone knows the solution. I may have fiddled with the display on the screen while parked (Prius). The next time I tried to reverse all I could see on the screen was the red and green lines for guiding when reversing, and a black background with no pictures.
The display is of course in Japanese, tried the translator app in vain (haven’t seen anything to do with reverse camera settings on the display). Any ideas please?

    Is this an aftermarket unit?

Those of us in North America with Gen 3 Prii are unworthy of lines in our backup cameras. It sounds like the Japanese model is significant'y different in the backup camera features. I'm not aware of anything we can do to change anything with the backup camera.

There are a few here who have Japanese models, so I hope one of them will spot this.

The vehicle is pre owned, but the camera and screen are original Toyota parts, came with the car

I'm betting on a loose connection between the camera and the monitor. Remove the camera and check it out at that location.
