There's no official interval, from Toyota. I believe they call it "lifetime"... I would recommend to change right away, then maybe in another 60K miles. And from then on it'll probably be fine, or every 90K if you want. My first change was by far the darkest, around 15K kms. Use Toyota AFT WS, play it safe.

No, It's plug and play! Simply remove the halogen bulb, unplug it. Install the LED light fixture, and plug it in. That's it! Way simpler than HID light kits. ;)

cool thanks. i regret the necessity of doing this, but i literally can not see with regular bulbs anymore, all the jerholes with purple lights and even factory bulbs on new cars seem to be incredibly piercing

112K. At 56K I had to replace both rear wheel bearings (entire hubs) about $500 did it myself. Nothing else at this point though it seems like my traction battery might be weakening. That could be because I am having to park outside since my house got racked during the 11/18 earthquake.

2014 III with about 150,000 miles.
oil changes every 10,000 (down less than half a quart usually at end of oil life).
OEM tires (Bridgestone?) lasted less than 36,000 miles. Michelin Defenders lasted about 85,000 miles. We'll see how the current set does. still good so far.
Front wipers every year, rear wiper about every two.
Indicated mpg's around 46. Last tank of gas I pushed for more economy and got a little over 50 indicated.
Only my second vehicle that I have purchased new. Other was a '91 Nissan pickup that had 399,999 miles on the odometer when the odometer broke. Drove it another 10 years after that so I estimate maybe 600,000 miles. So far, the Prius has been even more dependable that the Nissan was.

First a new battery for the key fob (2nd time already). I'll see about the 12V when it starts acting up.

That might be a sign... That started happening with mine before the main signs appeared. The main signs mine was going out were a fading heads up display panel, and weak startup especially after sitting for a couple days ... eventually it died completely, but by the time the battery light comes on it's too late.

Idk about that. Last time I changed the key fob battery was about two years ago (I have the car almost 5 years now) and I haven't had any issues with the 12V battery.

Not true. Fake news (regarding the weight compared to your old Lexus ES). The Gen 3 Prius weighs 3040 lbs and the previous versions of the Lexus ES (back to 2005) weigh 3550+lbs.

The Prius is 500 lbs lighter than any previous Lexus ES!

we have almost 88,000 on a 2013 Persona model. It's my wife's. Still has original batteries, brakes. Most expensive purchase was a set of 4 new Michelin's. It's been unbelievably reliable. We are hoping for another 5-6 years of great service.

Just read the odo at 196078 miles. Purchased vehicle used at 54736 miles November 2014. Two weeks after purchase I whacked the front bumper cover on a separated retread crocodile in the dark of night. Replaced under insurance. Next problem was seized A/C compressor at 81K. Replaced with used compressor at considerable savings. Did the warranty enhancement replacement of left and right headlight wiring harness and low beam bulbs at 165K. Two sets of Goodyear ComforTred tires. Regular maintenance. That's it for me.

Toyota knows this, i read recently sales number of 4th gen significantly have decreased, that the hybrid rav 4 has outpaced/overtaken prius in sales, toyota was looking into a resdesign to make it more like the prime?? Still on my 2012 only 100k miles mileage is 38-41 with 17 inch rims :(
