Brake Light, ABS Light & Traction Control Light are on

It's probably a connection to a wheel speed sensor, or a sensor itself. I had the exact thing happen when I replaced a front wheel well splash shield and didn't route the cable for the sensor correctly. I wiggled it around and routed it better and it's never happened again.

 

Without an OBD reader, you can still read the brake/ABS/traction trouble codes (in abbreviated form) by taking a short wire between the Tc and CG terminals on the OBD connector, and counting light blinks. (You can find other threads with the details if you search.) If you post those codes, we may be able to reach some conclusions.

 

There's a connector up inside the wheel well that continues down to the sensor behind the rotor. It's pretty much exposed without that splash shield and I'll bet you that's been affected by the weather/snow. I'd fiddle with it and maybe use some wd40 before replacing that splash shield... but I'm no mechanic (I'm also going off memory here). At least get that shield replaced, I got an after-market one for like $30 then you need the clips and stuff, but it wasn't that bad.

 

I came here to investigate this same problem. I've already been to a local, non-specialty, non-dealer shop once for the problem a few days ago and they couldn't find anything wrong so they "reflashed the system" (their words).

I did bottom this car out pretty hard a couple of weeks ago on an unexpected and unseen pothole. After that I heard a rubbing sound and found that the plastic shroud inside the driver front wheel well was knocked out of place. I banged it back into place with my hand and went on my way. I'm going to ask them to check that area when I take it in but they don't have an open slot until 4 days from now.

You could have one of your ABS sensors going bad.

I recently replaced my front wheel bearings. The next day cruise wouldn't work, brake light was on,
skid control, and abs. You'll also lose charging when you let off the the throttle, and electric braking.

But my right rear ABS sensor failed. I replaced the rear hubs 9000 miles ago.
I had to reinstall my old one until I get the replacement.

You'll need techstream or OB2 reader that will read ABS systems.
Hopefully, it will be a front sensor. Easy to change.

After the "reflashing", the same 3 error lights returned a few days later (Traction control, brake, and ABS). I can see that the car isn't charging properly.

I took it back to the shop and mentioned that I had bottomed the car out on a pothole and that I had to push the dirt guard back into place to prevent it from rubbing the tire and that I may have damaged a sensor.

This time they said it was the braking master cylinder and that it needed to be replaced for about $3,400.

I'm going to get a second opinion after the hurricane(s) blow through.

 

Has any shop you've been to so far given you a list of the trouble codes your car is reporting? Have you collected them yourself, either using an OBD reader or the light blinks?

My Right Rear was C0210. I think the left rear is C0209.

Hurricane over and done- The second opinion on my 3 indicator lights reports the code is c1391. They reset the lights so the lights are off again now and said if the lights come on again they recommend to replace the actuator for about $1,300.

This is how it was always done learn this method first learn more about the car at same time forcing you under hood vs a plug into dash

 

Wondering what happened? The exact same thing happened, except I was the wife driving down the road. It was night, 10 degrees F outside and those three lights came on. Cruise control didn't work. Next morning, same thing. Up to 18 degrees. Curious.

 

What do you mean by "the exact same thing?" The other person's car in post #15 had trouble code C1391. Is that the trouble code you have? Do you know what trouble code(s) you have yet?

Those lights on the dash can come on for a couple hundred different reasons. Guessing at why they are on before knowing the trouble codes is shooting in the dark.

 

I'm in this same situation I've posted my code before it's an ABS rear left pressure problem it's internal All of my lights are on too My regenerative braking works just fine I can see it on the display working and that's about it I have no anti-lock brakes I only have regular push the pedal squeeze the pad type brakes no anti-lock anything I can smoke all four wheel wells car drives fine gets about 43 or 4 when I tried replacing this ABS thing on the 04 I never could get the car to start again I have not pursued it further
