So last night on my long drive home from work my body decided to take a nap. I ended up hitting a construction barrel head on and now I need a new front bumper. I can get a new one through work for 100 bucks, but was wandering if there were any decent looking aftermarket ones that may be not too much more that anyone could recommend?

Post a picture of the damage?

(With 5 posts already you may be ok, that's maybe the minimum for posting pictures? If it's more, just do a few extra postings first.)

Go through your insurance, get a body shop involved? Especially if the damage's minor, they'll probably just restore it and paint. And if it's more serious, there's hidden frame/suspension damage, they'll also be your best bet.

100 bucks for a bumper or you are talking about just bumper cover? Either way, you are not likely to find anything much cheaper than that.

Yap, that looks a bit more damage than you can tape it up. You might find some aftermarket cover around ~$80 online, but with shipping may go over $100. Those parts will come unpainted. Are you going to paint DIY? I did a similar thing on my old Civic. Not difficult to do with a can of spray paint, but it will not be a perfect match.

Ebay has the cheap ones but the cost usually comes up when you paint them. If you get the front, you might as well get side skirts as well.. Usually, after market fronts, hang lower than stock sides - if that even makes sense..

I just replaced mine last night because I had similar damage. I found a bumper cover on Amazon that was pre-painted because I did t want the added hassle of having a shop paint it. The cover came with the “wings” folded inward for shipping. I let the cover sit in my garage for a few days to get the bends out. There is some very minor paint distortion near the passenger headlight due to the fold. The project took me about 3.5 hours to remove the old cover, strip all the parts from it (turn signals, fog lights, headlight washers, grills, and badge.) I replaced the turn signals and fog lights at the same time because they had some damage and discoloration. I also replaced the front bumper spoiler at the same because it was damaged as well. Be sure to get a bag of Toyota retainer clips because some of them will inevitably get broken during removal. The bumper cover looks great and matches the old paint very closely. I can only see a difference when I look up close under a bright light, likely a result of new paint vs 10 year old paint.
