I have a 2010 Prius with about 120,000. I bought it at 117,000 and never felt it jump until recently.

I do live in a colder climate (Ohio) but I do garage the vehicle. When the ICE kicks on the vehicle Jumps so much it ROCKS. I have remote start installed on it and I can actually watch the wheels move when I am outside of it and it starts. I cleaned the EGR tube, but not the manifold or cooler yet it is on my list. Plugs were supposedly changed at 100K. All fluids flushed and changed when I bought it.

Even when it has been running for awhile and I am at a light when it goes EV and back to ICE, BAM I feel her kick in like I am on a bucking bronco. I never fet this when I bought her few months ago, although temps were not freezing. Anything I can focus in on? I searched a little bit about the topic but still not sure.

It’s related to air or fuel;).

The egr circuit cleanse takes care of the air side of that equation :).

Good luck and keep us posted (y).

I use Shell fuel, and since I cleaned the EGR pipe it would be safe to assume manifold or cooler?

Was this doubled checked by you or was it word of mouth?

For no reason I thought this was an airborne Prius. Imagined bo and Luke from the dukes of hazzard (80s tv series) going airborne with a Prius jumping over a small river.

It was not double checked by me. I had all the fluids flushed at the dealer. I will probably replace the plugs anyways when I do everything else along with a new PCV valve.

Yeah I thought this was going to be a positive thread, about a fast-off-the-mark Prius.

It's not unusual for a Prius to rock forward when the engine starts but it shouldn't do it every time. How violent are you talking?
