what did everyone get for those that traded in their 2017 or 2018 prius primes?

list the price of a trade-in and the area you're located?

    thanks

I traded a 16 #4 for a 17 prime, luckily I had done a Kelly Blue Book Valuation and had a copy of the KBB cash offer, the White River Junction Vt dealer offered 14,995$, five hours later they gave me 23,000$, over 100% higher then their initial offer, that's the sign of a terrible dealer, (After I signed all the papers and got in the car to drive away I found the car had 1000 miles, another sign of a terrible dealer).

So, get the KBB cash offer, anyway, then try your luck.

    I really wanted a Prime.

I just received a letter today from the local dealer offering me $22,768 for my 2017 Prime Advanced. I am not considering trading but found it interesting.

Hummm, 22K for 2017 advanced in MA. You can pick up a brand new 2018 model close to or lower than that price. If I can get 19K for my 2017 Premium, I will trade it in for a brand new Clarity I just test driven.

I agree, but I am not looking to trade it. I got a sweet deal when I traded my 2012 Prius IV for it. I still miss somethings about that car.

If Clarity had a hatch, it would be sitting on my driveway right now.

Yap, being the first year does not help either. But my HCH served me and my son very well. It was a more reliable car than my old ICE only Civic despite dreaded IMA battery failure that happened around 145K miles on the vehicle which was replaced for free under warranty. Besides, right now deal on Clarity is not for sale, but for lease. You can get 3-year lease as low as $115/mo. Chance of the car going bad in the first 3 years is slim I would think. And if the car is proven to be reliable, you could purchase it at the end of the lease for 41% MSRP. This lease to own scenario would cost roughly 22K for 34K vehicle. Not a bad deal.

$115/mo lease deal had $1717 down plus tax and fees. It varies drastically from a dealer to dealer. The lowest I have seen on no money down is $219/mo all tax and fees included. However, this deal applies only to the leftover 2018 model, so if you wait till spring it may not exist.

I traded in a 17 Premium for $21,000 with almost 15,000 miles on Jan 1 in TX. I bought it for about $17,500 after tax credit in May. Thanks Toyota. Who says a car drops 20% when driving off the lot?
