I went to the dealership, and saw the black and white alternating color theme - gross!!!

    Then I saw this pic

I understand the centersole and shifter can be blacked out...but the entire steering wheel and the buttons?

is this 2019 only? or does anyone know how to get a hold of the entire kit? CR-Cars-Inline-2019-Toyota-Prius-Int-11-18%20(1).jpeg

It's awful in all black isn't it - just like a VW - boring and clinical. And the black shows dust so badly - my white always looks clean, but the black is dusty looking within a day again.

Not on the gloss - no matter what you polish or wax it with, it's dusty - in fact, wax makes it attract dust worse as you polish it up. But with the black&white models, there is heaps of black, the massive dashboard top as well as most of the dash.

    Yes, Corvette - '56-57? Could be a year or 2 out - I asked Google for a '56 piccy.

I suspect the cost of getting a red work-over for a PRIUS would be cost prohibitive - plus mine isn't far off her 3rd birthday. I've started doing sums on what to do when her warranty runs out - another, something different, or keep her a bit longer.

Opps wax was the wrong word - my thoughts were somewhere else. ceramic coating for plastic parts.

One wipe and its all done

I'll pass on the black. Up here, black isn't a good move - too hot in semi-tropics, and are harder to sell. And - they look dirty too quickly after being washed.

I just walked into dealer. 2019 has all black interior expect for the steering wheel.

Oh, well. I was hoping it was still the real Black&White still if I upgrade later this year. Maybe it's a regional thing - so many things are different in different countries.

Hmmmm. Interesting idea. Makes me want to start doing some research. I wonder what a silver PiP would look like with a red interior with white accents. And what it would cost. Probably way too much for me.

Since 4th gen introduction, they flip-flop between gloss-white and gloss-black, great swaths of hard plastic. I much prefer the 3rd gen's textured dark grey, somewhat pliant. It's practical.

Interesting. We love all black interiors. It warms the interior up better in winter! Nothing like bright sunshine on a very cold day and your car is already 'warm' inside. (y)

I will say that it takes a bit more dusting than other colors...but c'mon...a few wipes here and there with a microfiber towel and you are done. It isn't that big of a deal. (y)

Here - it's never wanting it cooler - it's trying to find somewhere cool to park under. A very cold day here - the heater is unlikely to be used past the first ½hr in the morning or at night. Most winter days, we'd have the A/C running.

Maybe - you could consult with @Bill the Engineer to see if a PIP workings could be transposed into a '56 Corvette? And keep the lovely dashboard. Sounds a juicy project to me - far beyond me though.

I agree. I'm smarter to save my shekels for when my wife's '07 eventually needs to be replaced. Then again, she loves it so much she said she never wants a different car. I REALLY married well. :D

But, as I walked by the car yesterday I thought, "Hmmm... How about red leather seat covers and leave the rest of the interior gray? Might look pretty cool, especially when I visit family in Ohio.

    Nah! I'll just drive it.
