I was thinking car servicing shops in general could benefit from doing this. Window tinters and detailers as well. Save a lot of down-the-road hassles.

Update: halfway thru 2nd tank of gas and things have returned to normal. Consumption reading between 47 and 48MPG; that's as good as it gets with Winter/oxegenated fuel in the Mid-Atlantic area. I'll chalk it up to the computer "relearning" my driving patterns.

I pumped up the after approx 25 miles after getting the car back from the dealer since I noticed right away the lower numbers after each drive; that didn't make any difference. The car started to show normal MPG figures approximately 150 miles after the the software was upgraded.

Had mine done yesterday, no problems with mpg but there are some different things going on.
Noticed I can now drive in EV up to 48mph as opposed to 45mph before when the ice kicked in..... Let's see what else happens.

Could be wrong but I think it's running a little bit more in EV mode since update.... Think I was getting around 48% EV before. Screenshot_20190216-015519.jpeg

This is the 2nd inverter software update. I noticed after the first update that the car went electric-only a bit easier.

Have yet to get this latest update; I will in the next month or so.

Recall letter with update firmware came in the mail. I’m waiting to see what everyone’s consensus is before I get it to the dealer.

Yes, and it has a tracker to record the data. So, there's lots to look at afterward. It's handy when you need detail to diagnose or simply learn about something.

I got my update done last week and I noticed the same problem. Its the first issues I have had with the car and the reason why I found myself here.

Due to pending registration renewal I had to have the recall performed this week. I have to say that the temperament of the car seems to be normal. However, the fuel mileage seems to be affected in the negative. I drive a very specific route every day so I can easily gauge any changes in fuel consumption. After a week the fuel MPG is slowly dropping down. Each trip there is a steady decline of about 0.2 mpg. I guess that Toyota’s EPA estimates of 50 mpg seem to be no longer valid.
