Car recognizes me when I walk by after I locked it

    Disabling SKS only affects the proximity functions. The car still has a radio receiver active to respond to active signals from the fob pushbuttons. That uses less power than continually transmitting to find out if a fob is nearby.

    So you can still lock and unlock by pressing fob buttons, and holding the fob next to the power button to start works fine.

    Why worry about the FOB battery, Iordered 3 for $1.65
    and they came in, in about 3 days from HK. I always keep spares in the glovebox.

    I don't think anybody was worrying about the fob battery, except to clarify that #13 might have been about it instead of the original topic.

    Is there a way to permanently turn off the stupid display that comes on and off every time you start or turn off the vehicle? I'm talking about the welcome picture of a car driving on the 11 inch display.

    Iv found that when it comes to computers, anything and everything can be done, you just have to find the way to do it. You can go to the dealership and the kids will genually and genially attempt to solve your problem.
    I went for help on mine once and the only guy in the total distribuship was a Mexican from the tire shop and he was good! He was so good that he should have been working in the showroom! Can’t help with your actual problem, as I have a ancient car now, a 2017.
