Hello, I just purchased a 2016 Prius Three (upgrade from a 2005 Prius). I believe that it has a standard pre-collision system. On the steering wheel, it has a pre-collision button with the car with the radar option in front. But when I go to the settings menu, there is an option for lane departure but no pre collision option. I also pressed the pre collision button on the steering wheel but there was no response. The lane departure and radar cruise control seem to be working. Has anyone experienced this issue?

This is a screen-grab from 2016 US brochure: for level 3 the "P" indicates available in a package:

    This is the package:

Maybe the presence/absence of some of the other items can help you determine if you have that package?

Thanks for that! Well, mine does have the lane departure assist and dynamic radar cruise control. So it sounds like it should also have the Pre collision... but the option does not show up. Hmmmm....

As far as I know, the Lane Departure Alert and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control features are available only as part of Toyota Safety Sense-P, which also includes the Pre-Collision System feature, so if your car has DRCC, it should also have PCS. These features all use the forward recognition camera and millimeter wave radar sensor, which is why they’re part of the same package.
The steering wheel button selects the vehicle-to-vehicle distance setting for Dynamic Radar Cruise Control; it doesn’t affect the Pre-Collision System sensitivity. See page 307 of the Owner’s Manual (PDF).
I can’t explain that; are you sure you’re at the correct settings menu (Owners’s Manual, pages 139–140)?

When you start the car, does the PCS warning light (Owner’s Manual, pages 101 and 656) on the instrument cluster (combination meter) come on briefly and then turn off?

You’re confusing radar cruise with pre-collision. The button on the steering wheel controls the radar cruise. Pre collision is automatic and you don’t “engage” it. You should see the PCS option in the settings menu via the 4.2” MID. You have the option to turn it on or off (it’ll turn on every time you start the car) and the sensitivity of the warning.
