Misfire, white smoke from exhaust, lose coolant, P148f +?

    Misfire, white smoke from exhaust, lose coolant, P148f +?
    I've solved the problem. The Prius uses a system to heat the coolant quickly when it is cold. If this system works poorly it boils in the coolant then it increases the pressure in the cooling system. The symptoms are similar to poor cylinder head.

    Can you be more specific about what part you found faulty and how you fixed it please.

    2014 prius v 410000 km , Ijust cut the system . I took out the hose from the egr cooler directly connected to the heater core radiator in the ac.

    looks like the error is back. Replaced water pump and thermostat, egr valve and egr cooler replaced old injectors. The new water pump (Asian) behaves differently than the old one. It appears that when the engine gets hot, the coolant boils.

    Not EGR coolar but hear exchanger after the catalytic converter

    That item includes a thermostat that redirects the exhaust flow after it's warm enough, so perhaps an issue with that could cause problems.

    The thing about this thread, though, is that the original poster was last heard from in March of 2019 ... and that post was to say that the post #1 idea about what fixed the problem had not, in fact, fixed it.

    It was head gasket that failed. If boiling in the coolant then do not spend time on other things go straight on it.
