12v power drain

    2010 prius continuously draining the 12v battery. I replaced with a brand new 12v but it's being pulled down nightly. The only way not to loose the battery overnight is to remove the main power wire from the fuse block nightly. I've even ran a multi meter in between the battery and cable and pulled every fuse individually and the relays still no change on the 12volt drain until I pull the power to the main block under the hood. If you have ever experienced this issue some input would be appreciated ty in advance

    Nope.... nothing in the outlets no lights are on but the security flashing

    sounds like you have some wiring problems. what is the history of your vehicle?

    Wrecked front drivers fender main fuse block is cracked I'm afraid it needs replacement been looking for one

    good idea. without extensive electrical knowledge and proper equipment, it can be a difficult diagnosis.

    But I just checked the car after removing the power source completely from the fuse block the new 12v is drained again to 4v....... maybe bad ground or terminals? This is getting ridiculous 20190317_102457.jpeg

    try disconnecting the battery entirely. charge up and see if it holds

    Did that it will as long as nothing is connected to it

    then it must be between the battery and the fuse block. a bad ground can't discharge the battery if nothing is connected to the positive terminal
