I know it is a very old thread, but I am looking into the 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid. Have been looking for nice used HiHy, but so far I am not having much luck. With HiHy, if it is low mileage newer model, the price is way high, and if the price is low it is very high mileage and old. I researched the 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid a bit and aware of the cons of this vehicle, but the market price on this used car is far better than HiHy of equivalent year and mileage. Will see how my search goes.

Thanks. I actually found a couple of nice used ones within my driving range, and I am going to see them tomorrow. A little bit more than my initial budget of $10K, but they are much newer and fewer miles than $10K range priced HiHy which are generally up in the 10+ years old and over 100K miles.

Mostly done deal on 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid Platinum 4WD. Very nice mid size 7 seats SUV. Being a mild Hybrid, I'm sure the mpg is not going to be as good as HiHy, but it should be better than the Sienna minivan it is replacing. I will report the real life millage later. Here is the initial report on new to us used 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid fuel economy. It is EPA rated 27hyw/25city/26comb. I just drove it 300+miles to home mostly on highway. I could get 30 mpg on display if I do not use any AC (heat or cool), and keep the speed at or below 60mph, but any push on gas or use of AC will lower the number. I have not used the full tank, so I don't know real number from full tank method calculation yet. Looking at Fuelly site, a small samples of 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid do not seem to support the EPA average of 26mpg. It is generally lower number like 21mpg. I would like it to get at least 30 mpg, but that may proven to be very difficult. I will see.

First gas fill-up. Mostly highway and some in town drive of 409 miles till the empty light came on but it took only 15.67 gal to fill the tank. It has 19.5 gal tank, meaning still almost 4 gal to spare. Car says 24.9mpg, but hand calculation improve it to 26.1mpg. Not bad for a 250hp beast, but still disappointing that it is only getting EPA average.
