I have a 2014 Prius and a Google Pixel 2XL. I use the USB port in the console when I need to recharge and it's been fine until a couple of weeks ago.

I took the cable out and tried it in the house and it works fine. I took the cable that I usually use in the house and tried it in the car, but it wouldn't work. So, I don't think it's the cable.

Has anyone else had this problem? What should I check next?

I usually have a good charge on my phone, but when I'm using Google Maps or Waze, it really eats up battery, so I need to have it plugged in.

2010 here -- Mine has never really sufficiently charged my Pixel 2 via the USB port in the arm rest. At most, when plugged in for a 30 minute trip (screen off), it charged it 1%.
I subsequently moved that USB cable to my cigarette adapter under my console by the seat heater control.

I was thinking of doing that. I'll certainly try that next. Thanks!

Mine didn't come with a usb port, 2010.
So I added a 2 port socket. I tapped into a spare space on the fuze box and hid it behind the dash.
They plugged in and extention port with an audio jack and installed it in the space under the start button.
I have a short audio and usb cable going to my iPhone in a CD mount.
I ran the audio cable from inside the arm rest console under everything to the socket.
WHY they would put that there, I'll never know. A very stupid idea I think.

The other socket is used for my front and rear camera's.

I have had no problems running both. And my phone gets fully charges while it's playing
    podcast, for 3 hours.

I have a 2015 and I can't connect my Android phone to the stereo using the USB port in the center armrest. It just endlessly says, "Loading . . ." I have checked all the settings on my phone (to make sure data can be transferred) and am using the original cable that came with the phone (which works fine except for the Prius), and I can't get it to work. I tried it with another model of phone, and it still didn't work.

Also, if I use the USB as just a charger (being sure to change the setting on the phone), it barely charges 1% over 30 minutes.

Finally, if I have the phone playing music via Bluetooth and I plug in the phone to charge it, the Bluetooth stops working and no sound comes out. (And if I try to charge the phone before turning on the Bluetooth, I get the endless "Loading . . .)

    Anyone else have these problems?
