For $60 it won't be new and so you won't be able to use the chicken dance or techstream (without a seed reset). Secondly, without a working key fob, you won't be able to program a second key.
Wrong. The SKS and non-SKS use different transmitters for the remote lock/unlock and they are not interchangeable.

I continue to read with amusement that you both have identified that the CM is flakey, and for some reason you both are refusing to fix the obvious.

Now, I can't say for certain whether the CM is the root of all your problems, but it is a keystone to some of them. Fix the obvious (and relatively) easy problems first and then see where you end up.

It isn't rocket science, chaps!

You think a flaky Combo Meter is the root of the issues?
I am unsure it's the MAIN reason- now can I fix it -sure

I am new to all of this - most of my knowledge is from trial and error-

It's hard to argue with the logic of dolj:

    "fix the obvious first".....

It's something that you know 100% has to be fixed. If that fix may solve the other problems, why not do it first, rather than potentially wasting a lot of time and effort and then having to do it anyway?

    Dolj-

I'm not against repairing items as I Can-
Some items are more of a necessity- I will do the Combo board ASAP to see if it repairs my issue.
I have a tech stream PC/ and Cable coming end of week.

    Thanks for your input-
