Guess it’s good to “grab a charge” whenever you can.

We are out of town for the weekend (Santa Cruz) and I decided last second to bring along our EVSE from home just in case.

Hotel doesn’t have any charging, but found a plug near a retaining wall. Front desk told me “sure” when I asked if I can plug in.

Nice! I don't usually take my EVSE in my car, but maybe for a long trip, it is a good idea.

I'm still trying to figure out how to siphon electrons off of the electric car parked next to me.

I always carry a spare EVSE with the Volt and the Spark (I have 4 L1s). You never know where someone's going to tell you it's ok to plug in.

I always carry mine in the bin.

    Opportunistic charging is always nice.

I was at a Best Western a couple of years ago, and I asked about whether I could charge my Prius (I don't recall if this was the PiP or Prime), and they said I could park adjacent to a utility closet and use an outlet in it. So I always carry my EVSE with me, just in case such an opportunity arises. I have a 240V home charging station, so I can just leave the EVSE in the car.

I travel with a 25 foot 12 gage extension cord, just in case I need a little more reach to get to the outlet.
