Is it really 5.46kWh is the 100% EV battery amount that get charged into the traction battery used for EV MODE drive? Because if that is the case, 25 miles of EV range represents 25/5.46=4.58miles/kWh. My current lifetime Total average electricity consumption (shown on the Drive Monitor 2) is 4.44 miles/kWh, meaning I am not even getting EPA average.

I'm assuming, on your local electric utility company side, you're only use the electric rate to figure this out and no other variables (ie taxes) are included. If I do that, my is around 2.2cents/mi

Still far better than mine. From my ~2years, ~29K miles of my own data on actual paid electricity and gas calculated on this thread. What is your miles/kWh (total average electricity consumption) on the "Drive Monitor 2" | PriusChat I get following cost/mile.

EV MODE $456 for 9597miles or 4.75 cents/mile (average rate of electricity paid $0.1796/kWh)
HV MODE $861 for 19343miles or 4.45 cents/mile (average cost of gas paid $2.4185/gal)

No, my calc is with everything. Low electric rate in the winter with a residential heat pump. 7.5% sales tax.

I was always suspicious about those estimated mileage numbers under "Drive Motor 2". So I did a test today on my way
back from work. I had 10.1 miles left/estimated (the middle one with no fan). Then I reset my TripA odom and started driving
on EV. I intentionally drive it until the PRIME switches to HV and it did when it reached 0.1 mile left. However my TripA only
registered exactly 6.0 miles. What happened to the 4.1 miles? Well maybe not exactly 4.1 since it's a projection but I did not
expect the projection to be this worse!!. If my math is correct, the accuracy of this projection was only at 60% !!! No wonder I felt like I had to charge more than I should be for the week.

Are you guys out there experiencing this as well?

GOM (Guess-O-Meter) prediction is based on your past records. If you drive the same condition every day, it gives you a fairly accurate estimation, but if your driving condition is different day by day, then well, it is a wild guess. Mine is almost always within a few miles for my daily commute route.

My daily EV driving is pretty much consistent. 7.2 miles local EV driving to train station and back coming home
from work. Showing me 10.1 when I could only go 6.0 is not acceptable. Well I need more data points.
I will do a few more tests and see if I'm getting the same results.

When it does get hot, why "bear it", when you can "bare it".

Mine estimates a full charge to be worth 31-34 miles. I've never gotten that, but I've come close to 30 a few times. Mostly it ends up in the 25-27 miles per charge range.

When I do a full charge, 90% of the time, I get this number 35.1 displayed on my MID. The middle number
under "Drive Motor 2". The test I did coming home today I had 10.1 miles left according to MID. This is roughly
1/3 remaining of my full charge. So in effect, I'm "losing" 4.1 miles of 1/3 of the charge is pretty bad or this guesstimate was
extremely unreliable. Imagine you had zero gas and you though you could go an extra few miles to
    the nearest gas station.

The Guess-O-Meter is cute, but I totally ignore it and estimate myself based on battery percentage and how I’m actually driving. This has proven fairly accurate.

Hey! I still love my 2018 Prime. :) Last weekend was the first time I had to fill up the gas tank after driven ~1000 miles.

I will have to play around with the MID. Haven't really looked at everything since I bought it back in April. Maybe I give this
    Battery % a try.

My bad.... It's "Drive Monitor 2". If you typed in wrong the first time, copy/paste would definitely repeat the same mistake. :)

I think he means "Drive Monitor 2". It shows EV related info. Average miles/kWh and two GOM numbers (one without AC and one with AC).

is that based on a/c use, or is it just the same calc it uses when you turn the fan down?

It's the same number I get on the HSI with AC on or off. Just the different display for GOM.
