First time working on my prius after a month of having bought it used from a friend of a family member.
I replaced my spark plugs. I then removed and thoroughly cleaned the egr pipe, cooler and valve(almost like new condition). I then removed and cleaned the intake manifold and throttle body. I put it all back together, and started the car, the result was that my car shakes violently, deathly. It started and shuddered off a couple times after few seconds, and then the last time it stayed on and just shook violently for a minute until I turned it off for fear of hurting it. After it shudders off I hear a strange high pitched whizzing noise coming from the intake manifold area or nearby.
It threw a check engine light and "check hybrid system" and I got two codes p0301 and 93190 (misfire on cylinder 1 and poor engine power)
Some things I think it might be:
-Accidentally brushed up against a fuel injector with a greasy rag while cleaning the intake manifold and engine inlets where the manifold attaches(what's that called??)could the fuel injectors be clogged with heavy grime from cleaning, causing the misfiring and shaking?
-Maybe I didnt let my intake manifold dry long enough? I removed the sensor and used brakecleen and then pressure washed it. Left it in the sun for an hour or so.
After doing some research I am coming to realize that the egr outlet for the intake manifold has it's own exit holes that are different from the big holes on the manifold that lead to the throttle body?? I cleaned the big holes/throttlebody area very thoroughly, but maybe I caused a plug in the egr pathway by not cleaning throughly(I was assuming it all led to the same big open pathways)((also I might be completely mistaken on this point))

Prior to doing the egr and intake cleaning, my car was running fine but was pinging at low speeds and had a rough idle. I knew from the forum that the egr needed a cleaning. 182k miles on the vehicle, no signs of every having the egr serviced. When I pulled it off it was pretty much caked shut. Spent two full days cleaning it.

I did everything according the the 3 videos by nutzaboutboltz on youtube. Hes a legend, no complaints about his videos.
But what did I do during the process of cleaning that would cause my car to immediately have major problems? Please chime in with your thoughts and ideas. Here's what I'm gunna try in the morning:

    -Remove intake manifold
    -Check for moisture
-inspect/clean intake manifold EGR passageway and tiny hole outputs
    -Inspect/clean fuel injectors
-Check/clean maf sensor on air filter box

Thank you for your help. I'm pretty embarrassed I spent 2 full days wrenching and cleaning and I basically broke my car until further notice. Dont wanna call a mechanic, but i will if i cant resolve soon.

I'm gunna post a video tomorrow, and I am starting to wonder if I should have replaced the intake manifold gasket. After watching a different video, mine did seem "flat" and not bulging out. Could be the whizzing sound I'm hearing. do not know. Still need help.

Yeah you definitely should the small EGR passageways in the intake manifold. Pipe pipe cleaners would work good, and/or an oxi-clean soak.

Also, the intake manifold gasket, and/or the throttle body gasket, could be leaking. I didn't replace either, but that was only with about 50K miles. With your miles, it it's original miles, you might have a vacuum leak. There's torque values in the attachment.

Did you clean the MAP sensor, the one below the thottle body? I've used MAF sensor cleaner, would think it's safe-as-houses for that application.

Good catch. The evap hose is the one that plugs into intake manifold just below throttle body IIRC.

And it’s easy to tear the o-ring that is on the map sensor when removing or installing it. It will cause a vacuum leak. The p3190 could just be from remnants of cleaning solution in the intake on initial startup.

When I got mine last year and initially cleaned the intake, it ran poorly and had a C E L until it burned out the carb and choke spray that I hosed down the intake with.

Thank you guys so much for responding. I fixed it. It ended up being that I forgot to reattach the air hose to the bottom of the throttle body. I bought a new gasket and started pulling everything apart and right before I took the throttle body out I saw the hose not connected. I had to do a double take because I wasnt sure if I had just unplugged it a moment ago, but I followed my gut and reattached it and put the air box back in and the prius started right up. So so stoked it was that simple. The car purrs like a kitten now since I did all that cleaning. Job for next month: oil catch can install and changing the IM gasket

B'dead, Sounds like a mistake that most make sooner of later, but not all are willing to admit!
    Congrats.

I brought up the o-ring on the MAP sensor, as that’s what I did on mine. Luckily I found an o-ring in an assortment pack that fit. Otherwise I would have needed to buy a sensor.

Cilinder number 1 misfires. Have you torqued the plugs correctly?
Have you cleaned the manifold accoring videos on you tube?
Paying attention to clean the small four holes?

He found a disconnected hose in post #7; that did the trick.
