When I bought my car (2 years ago) I found this charger in the trunk.
What is it? And what did it do?
I have a 2006 red Prius executive, bought at 220 000 km and now it have 280 000 km.
And I just start having HV battery problems. This charger can help me?
    Thanks.

Hello... I've never seen this. Are you in SE Asia?

We might be able to explain what this is about if you tell us what country you're located in?

I don’t read Chinese. The only thing I can read on that label is 12V and I can’t think of a reason a traction battery charger would use 12V on either the input or output side.

Does that connect to a wire harness on the car. Id like to see a pic of that.

    Do you read Chinese?

No, but that wouldn't help anyways. That text isn't written in Chinese.

I'[m fairly certain it says (1) Connect it properly to something with 12 volts, (2) Press the Start button, (3) Look for the Charge LED, and hope the Fault LED stays off. The box, below all that, contains some cautions to be observed, maybe in relation to hydrogen from charging the battery; no flames, proper ventilation, etc. I think we all want to know exactly what this box is supposed to do. The orange connector implies high voltage like the traction battery or inverter and a white plug is normally for communications, if I am not mistaken.

Thanks.... Hope the person posting this can bench test it and see what the output is. Hoping it's output is 250w at 1/4amp... But I suspect it's just a 12v trickle charger and it's not as great as we want it to be.

I've always said that CARB states should of learned more about battery packs before simply extending the warranty to 150K miles. They could of realized that instead of warranty, requiring Toyota to include a charger & reconditioning system in every car sold would of kept the battery packs healthier for far longer than the warranty.

I open this thread here, but I open first a similar thread on Gen.2 section.....someone there sugest me to open here, because is more likely to find answers.
I don't have a " trial bench"...but I will try to "open" it maybe the inside will provide much info.

All you need is a multimeter that reads AC & DC volts.
Is there a corresponding wire harness on the vehicle with that connects to it?
