Remember that we can clean the cooler in 5 minutes with a pressure washer;).

But if you want to have a spare, it’s not a bad idea:).

I had one for 3 years and it came in handy (y).

I've lost track. When is the next bay area get together? I was at the one in Lafeyette in June (2019). I'd like help reading a schematic as I put in a dash cam, attaching to the connector on the overhead panel.

We’re trying for an actual shop this round:).

But he broke his foot, so trying to work through the logistics. Should be able to provide a better timeline soon(y).

It’s been awhile since I logged into here. Just stopping by to say hi. I might be interested in cleaning my EGR pipe.

I'm new and probably gonna need some help in changing the transmission fluid. I heard from a guy that you guys often do a monthly meet up around bay area. I don't mind driving down there as long as I can be put on ease that I can safely change the fluid. Please notify me if you are planning to have the meet up. I suspect that the car I bought recently hasn't had the fluid changed and she's got almost 200K already

We’ve done a trans fluid drain and fill I think at every meetup for the last 2.5 years, so we gotcha covered;).

Bring the 4 quarts of fluid and we’ve got the tools:).

@Pedal Logic will get back to us soon about Lafayette locale(y).

Omg, I desperately need my coolant and tranny fluid changed. If I could come to this I would be forever grateful. I know how to do the work for the most part but my tools are in storage and inaccessible right now. Please update me to when and where once you know.

    Thank you guys soooooo much

Hii.. I think it's been more than 2 months since I heard about this and there hasn't been any meets up. I'm not rushing you guys.. I'm just wondering if there'll be any in near future since I'm getting concerned about my 192K transmission... no rush tho, I don't want to push you guys just for this.. but is there any estimation?

School is back in I believe in Lafayette, so @Pedal Logic will have a chance soon to check on the shop:).

If we procure that, it’ll be worth the wait(y).

Hello! Although I live in Santa Rosa, I would be grateful to know when next meet up is, as my mechanic today quoted me $350 to "flush" TF. I successfully DIY cleaned my hybrid battery fan (meaning I am game for DIY), but I could use help with this, and I would gladly buy doughnuts and cold adult beverages for the assistance....Thank you!

    Welcome to Prius Chat (y).

Trans axle drain and fill is something we tackle frequently on meet ups:).

Once I talk to @Pedal Logic and set a date, I’ll update here(y).

Is TF means Transmission Fluid? I heard that there's no such thing as transmission fluid flush, only change. They either lie or want to make it sounds cool and therefore can squeeze out more $$$ from you (it was Scotty Kilmer on YouTube, a professional 51 years mechanic). So I'd recommend you to stay away from that place. I contacted one of the transmission service guy in Stockton and I found one that would do the job for about $250. For me it's too expensive, but if you're willing to go for $350, Just go there. Also they don't mention anything about flush, so a bit of kudos for being honest there(?)
