Engine Coolant Leak

    Hi I have a coolant leak somewhere because I saw a puddle on the ground
    under my car and the coolant level decreased. I put some sealer stuff in and
    that seemed to help for now. I did a pressure test on it and nothing externally
    seemed to leak but it started coming out of the overflow. Any idea what this
    could be? From what I can tell there are no misfires. I have a 2006 prius

    Can’t understand why nobody can list the cars milage.

    Let’s guess. If it’s anywhere near 200000 miles it has a bad water pump. Front of engine where the water
    Pump belt is get flashlight and look for leaking coolant out of the bottom of the pump out the weep hole.

    Or it overheated somewhere in its life and has a blown head gasket, if the oil dipstick looks like milkshake it’s a blown head gasket.

    You put in sealer stuff? If you can’t repair cars yourself you might as well start looking for another car. That stuff causes nothing but problems and clogs things up.

    AND.....the most common place for leaks is the overflow bottle and the hose going to it.

    Can you confirm, is that the little reservoir behind the radiator, left of center facing the car? Why does this hose leak and where do you get a new hose? The clip holding it is all rusted so that must be it.. answered my own question.
