    Ok thanks ill probably save gas instead by driving at night when its cooler and slowing down.

    Yup. Speed will definitely improve mpg. 60 vs. 70 only costs a few minutes but improved mpg by at least 2-3.

    i quit driving at night when a tire came off a truck in the daylight and likely would have come through my windshield had i not seen it coming early enough and maneuvered defensively

    FWIW, on our P.Prime, I’ve seen 70-75MPG driving at a fairly-steady 60MPH, vs. ~50MPG in the 75-80MPH range.
