    We have a 2008 prius and the check engine light came on. The dealer said it would be $1700 for acatalytic converter. Any ideas ? We live in ga

    probably time for a new one. shop around, but make sure you get original equipment (i think i read it's important) and passes smog before paying. all the best!(y)
