I've done this. But I plug the plug in so it looks like it has, and is now done charging. usually after repeated failed attempts to have the charger read my card, or if it has a broken touch screen/faded from sun screen etc.

I thought you’d have the back 40 pic at the ready when the Mirai topic comes up:whistle:?

i wasn't even sure they're trying to unload 'em any more

Hydrogen station explodes, Toyota halts sales of fuel cell cars, is this the end? - Electrek

But having never been asked (even after offering to) if anyone wants me to return to the strip mall lot where the Mirai languish, certainly I'll be glad to next time I'm in the area. i hope they haven't all been melted down - otherwise .... you remove your history from the records, we'll make the same foolish mistakes again & again.

They’re still available on the toyota website, so it must be a Norwegian thing:rolleyes:.

Take a trip, it might be interesting to see how thick the layer of dirt is on the windshields (y).

Yesterday morning, two ICE SUVs in EV Class2 spaces and a Tesla owner pulls in and doesn't plug in. I guess Tesla charging spaces double as lazy Tesla owner spaces.

Called the hospital security and they checked the footage. Gave description and plate numbers to the security representative. Violator and their superior if they are employees will be reprimanded.

It says electric vehicles. There's electric in that truck. It's got a battery right?

I hear they still roam wild in the Inland Empire. This one will be tranquilized and transported back to its natural habitat.

I suspect the Tundra has lower service costs though. My 2000 has been excellent.

You mean somewhere where there is no shortage of unpaved unimproved land? That sounds like they would need to be transported across state lines. Do they have an agreement with another state to take the trash?
Just banning the ones that are off-road models from using the roads would greatly reduce the their number.

For the humor impaired, the above was typed with tongue planted firmly in cheek.:p

My new office has 4 chargers for 8 electric cars. I park my PiP in the farthest slot, then one of the Volt drivers parks next to me. I go out after 2 hours, unplug my car and plug in the Volt. It's all very civilized.

Not like my previous job, where they had 16 chargers for about 800 parking spots. The Leaf drivers got the maddest, seems the people with the lowest range lived the farthest away.

I have picked up on Leaf rage over this too. Got my first “nasty note” from a Leaf driver.

I would tell them to get to work earlier and they can have their choice of EV charging slots. The early bird gets the worm (or the electrons).

deliberately setting my work start time pays off ... 5am - & then usually roll up ½hr early for this very reason. Our new location only has 4 chargepoints - & one is often our of order. Seldom need to charge - but it's good to set the odds of the house - so it's nit even a gamble.

I was at my job for 10 years. The last year I was there, they installed ONE 20A charger and ONE parking spot for EV's.
There were 4 of us with plugins; my Prime, a focus, and 2 Tesla's. one of the tesla's was the CEO so he had his own charger installed.
IF there wasn't a ICE person in the spot already we could charge. during work hours. We had 10 mins a day to bring our car around and plug in. Us 3 went out to lunch and decided a schedule. I got the early shift so I would show up at 7am, plug in and start my day. when charged usually at At 9:30ish I would contact #2 and he would bring his car around so no one could sneak in (like people showing up late) and sneak out (against my donkey supervisor, one reason I quit.) to unplug and find a parking spot.

The blueness in California is concentrated along the coast, particularly in the LA and San Francisco area, whereas the inland parts of California such as the Central Valley, are rural and firmly red, and home to many pickups. Our President is apparently not aware of this, and many of his policies that are intended to hurt California in fact hurt his supporters here the most.
