    First Post.

Just purchased a 2020 Prius Prime. The manual shows the SOS button here:

Here is a photo from my car:

    (no SOS button)

Does anyone know where the SOS button has moved to?

BTW: Love, Love my new car!

    Thank you,

    Grant

Safety Connect is only available on the base model (yes it’s odd). The Upgrade trim level doesn’t have it.

This must be a Canadian trim thing.

It's possible the US is the same since we use nearly identical features.

It's because the base model has the Entune 3.0 headunit and has DCM installed. The models with the 11.6" screen cannot support Entune 3.0 so no DCM is installed and I guess Toyota wasn't gonna install the old Safety Connect stuff (the ones on the Gen 3 and Gen 4.0).

@Tickwood says he has the Safety Connect on 2020 US Limited model (Advanced in previous years).

Then it's a Canadian quirk. lol

My neighbour has a 2020 Upgrade w/ Advanced Package (similar to the US' Limited) and doesn't have Safety Connect.

My 2020 Limited (US Model) has Safety Connect. So I think you are right maybe not available in Canada.

Exactly. I really hate it when TCI forces us to either wait or compromise in our trim choices.

But, this Safety Connect feature is primarily why earlier this week, I purchased a 2020 base Prime to replace my daughter's Ioniq. I guess I'll be joining the club of two Prime households.

    Cheers

Yeah the Prius and Prime are in that weird transition spot in the Toyota lineup. Not old enough to bypass the new stuff but not new enough to have included it in the first place. The Prius ans Avalon were the first and last ones on TSS-P 1.0 and Entune 2.x

So for US 2020 Prime models, which trims have Safety Connect (minus the smartphone remote apps)? In previous years, for the Prime and its PiP predecessor, only the Advanced trim had SafetyConnect (with the smartphone remote apps).

Thank you for the all responses. The manual is the Canadian version. I have just wrote Toyota Canada and will post what they say.

Toyota Canada Response was Safety Connect is only available on the base model. The "Prius Prime Upgrade" does not include it. Weird

I guess you don't have to worry if you have an upgrade model. :D
