    Per your Owner's Manual.

    Shift Position B

    Objective or function
Applying engine braking or strong braking when the accelerator pedal has been released on steep downward slopes etc.

    About engine braking

When shift position B is selected, releasing the accelerator pedal will apply engine braking.

●When the vehicle is driven at high speeds, compared to ordinary gasoline fueled vehicles, the engine braking deceleration is felt less than that of other vehicles.
●The vehicle can be accelerated even when shift position B is selected. If the vehicle is driven continuously in the B position, fuel efficiency will become low. Usually, select the D position.

After driving larger, heavier vehicles it's a pleasure to drive something with a light weight and low center of gravity.
    Peace.

How many here think Angry Driver will calm down after owning his Prius for 6 months?

Btw, I always drive in Power Mode. Still get phenomenal mileage

Over 1,000 miles on my 2019, and I'm at an overall average of 44.9 MPG.

You aren't driving it hard enough. Disappointing considering you promised to thrash it.
