I just purchased my first new car, 2020 Prime Limited. I love it and I know it is irrational as I bought it to drive, but I hate putting so many miles on it. My commute is 50 miles round trip and I have already racked 450 miles in 1.5 weeks. Again, I know it is irrational and it is "just" a Prius and not a Ferrari or something. I guess I have to wait for the new car euphoria to wear off.

I have 40,000 miles on my 2017 Prime. I bought it for my commute, so that never bothered me.

I even saw another prime this morning, which i count as a good day. :)

Welcome to PC. Congrats on your new PRIME. Yeah, it will wear off, and Prius being Prius, loves to be driven. More you drive, more you save.

In the 4.5+ years I have had the little Prius it clocked anywhere between 12K and 40K a year. On average about 20K miles a year.

I expect, or rather hope, I can continue until perhaps 250K miles, which would be 12 years or so. Not unreasonable, I hope.

I got mine in early March with just shy of 24,000 miles on it. Yesterday, it turned over 37,000 miles. Over 6,000 of those 13,000 were a big road trip to the western states in May. Even with that big road trip at 56.6 mpg, I'm averaging over 95 mpg.

My 99 Civic lasted 307,000 miles so 250K is very easy to pull off.

I’m at 78 miles round trip a day;).

Bought our 2019 Prime in mid April and already have 14 k miles on it. Have averaged 153 mpg lifetime in those 6 months as I get to charge at work:).

The car was meant to be driven, so have at it and don’t think about it(y).

And I am contemplating making it a lifelong car, if it doesn't prove to be too expensive.

Just back & forth to work is 19 miles round trip.

Edit to add, I work 4 days a week. But that's only a small part of my total miles.

I average in at 120 miles per day sometimes more depending on if I go anywhere else other than my full time job then the garage. My 2005 prius commuter car has 187k and still going strong. No leaks, good mpg, routine maintenance, and a rebuild on the HV battery. 5-6 days weekly
If your in a prime just drive that bad boy dont worry about your miles driven daily just enjoy the savings

A normal day, 76 miles, sometimes add about 30 miles if I go to lunch. I only get to charge at home. :(

2018 Prime with 33,800+ miles and counting. Daily commute 110 miles round trip to work and averaging about 112 mpg. I do get to charge at work by walking 0..6 miles to public charging station. Most of the time I get the spot to charge.

2017 Prius Prime Advanced, 85,000+ daily commute 130 miles. I am going to try and get 400,000 or ten years out of this car. Average around 80 MPG over the life of the car.

My projected annual mileage is 30,000 miles. Bought the 2020 Prime on Aug 27th and already have 5500 miles on it.

Installed a Level 2 Charger at work 2 weeks ago so real soon I will be one of the few with high mileage and mostly pure Ev driving. Will be a great test to see how well the battery will hold up.

2018 bought in Jan 2019. Currently 9,000 miles. I expect to put just over 11,000 miles/year (18,000km). Commute is only 6 miles so I can do two round trips per charge.
