I got the WellVisors already. And in my case I would get the biggest for functionality - I do think about that a lot when I mod something. I wanna make this car a mini camper (out of all things) and to get my self down south to Miami, then Cali, Vancouver maybe - anything but to run from Canadian winter. Should've been packing already but gotta finish some home reno for my folks.

I do have screen protectors on ALL my displays, except for my MBPro. I don't touch it!
The protectors still get nasty. Until they design one that doesn't allow anything to stick to it,
we'll just have to live with it. :)
You can't help but see the lights. YUCK! I don't even know what the trunk lid looks like!
Does the trunk have less room than the 3rd Gens? Or more?
If I get enough money to get another Prius, it will be the "V". I really could use the extra room!

Will have to be a used Prius v? Didn't they discontinue it in the States? And the Prius c?

Cooper. They are a LOT quieter than the Continentals I had. The grip is close, wet and dry,
but I notice the difference and have adapted my driving for them.
But losing 4mpg, is not good. I really have to work hard to get the mpg's I did from the Continentals.
I hope they don't last the 60,000 miles they are rated for so I can get rid of them faster. :)

I'm not changing the radio. It sounds great to me! It's the standard non-jbl stock radio.

All those fancy "everything" radios ARE nice. But when they go bad, royal pain to fix or replace.
And any replacement, won't be as good and then you have to start over to learn it!

That's what I heard, buttttttt... I also heard that Toyota is combining the Rav4 and V and getting
rid of the RAV4 also. I don't know how true that is though.
They are selling more RAV's and the V's less.

It will be an older one for sure. I am not paying $30-50,000 for a CAR!

I'll have to get a set of Coopers when it comes time to replace... ...thanx. I take it that you lose 4mph @60mph thereabouts? Also, what is your tire pressure?

As far as screen savers go, the screen saver surface is tacky. It attacts dirt like a magnet and captures it. What I was suggesting is to replace the screen saver (with the same brand) but when you install it, leave the outer electrostatic film on. It still gets dusty like every other surface but it is not tacky and will not "capture" dust like the screen saver surface does. And it's much easier to clean.

You make a valid point about the fancy radios, but I'm addicted to good music, so I tend to go with the expensive, and pray it never breaks.

Oh they're great - an absolute must for camping. They're indispensable for ventilation and reducing condensation (without having to use the AC).

I didn't see them on your minimalist Prius (2nd photo) so I thought you were considering them. But since you already have them, you might as well keep what you have.

I bought the Prius for MPG. I averaged 47mpg, easily. No I have to struggle and drive slower to get 43-44.
I rarely drive over 65mph. I only ad 1 quart of oil between my 10,000 mile oil changes.
I you only care about noise, these cooper tires are very low noise. But if you want MPG, don't get the cooper.

If you leave the screen protector's protector on, you can't see. At least I can't. And the touch doesn't work as well.
I just wipe it clean with a little water...

Just one of many life's... pains! :)

I forgot to mention my tire pressures...
I started at 36psi, front and rear. Then went to 38, now at 40psi. 40 seems to help.
But it is making the ride firmer, and a little more noise. And minor help on the mpg.
AT 36psi, they were a smooth ride. I'm going to go back to 36 and see how the mpg's go
on my longer trip with changing the driving style.

I'm hoping walfart will have a sale again this Christmas and I'll buy 4 of the Continentals again.
Even with low tread they were great in the rain! And high mpgs will little effort. Worth the extra $20
    per tire for me.

Setting the fronts and rears the same? I'm with you there; keeps it simple. Happened to be looking at a Corolla manual: same pressure on all four.

And yeah, raising the pressures, you see minor mpg improvements, but the ride is harsher, and I think it's tougher on the suspension, and pretty much anything that's feeling that increased shock.

From 36 to 40 I saw MAYYYBEEE 2mpg, maybeeeeeee.... Hard to actually tell because it had been
so windy everytime I drove. That does effect the mpgs.
City is where it really hurts. I could keep it around 38mpg, but now it's 32. Unless I really focus on
getting more. But it's just TOO much WORK!
I just want to drive it, and enjoy it.
But, until I drove on different tires, I didn't know which ones were better.
If I make enough money and they're "ON SALE", I'll try the michelin tires.
They were good on my Town&Country, so maybe the'll be goon on the Prius.

Thanx for the psig readout. That gives me some figures should I ever buy a set of Coopers.

Same here, no mpg improvement nor loss with all 4s the same PSI.

I don't believe there were enough of a change with these tires.

...yet you said you lost about 4mpg when you put the Cooper tires on. Anecdotal, to be sure, but I don't doubt you, considering all the aggravation it caused.

If you get the Continentals, I would be interested to hear if you recoup your mpgs, and if your noise returns as well.

I am basing this on MY experience. Someone else may have different results.
I'm pretty certain I'll get the mpg back, I don't care about the noise. My podcasts override the noise. :)

I care about the noise. I also care about the mpgs,. But what I care about most is the info, and it sounds like your podcast, provides a good benchmark.

Perhaps the key question for noise reduction is not "why do the Coopers produce less noise?" but "why do the Continentals produce MORE noise?"

Maybe there's a tire out there that can provide superior mpg with less noise.

A lot of others have used other tires. If you search prius chat you can find their reviews.
I've only had two brands on the Prius so I can only give you info on the two.
I'm certain there is a tire that is quite and gets good mpg. I'm also sure it costs a lot more. :)

So you have to figure if the mpg lost, cost less or more than the cost of the tire.
Or it the extra cost offsets the extra cost of the tire.
