Hi all, I have recently noticed my battery draining quickly when accelerating along with poor acceleration on wide open throttle and a whistling noise from the engine, almost like an air pipe off.
Has anyone encountered any common issues?

you likely need a new battery. either that, or there's an engine probably forcing more battery usage.

how many miles on her? any dash lites?

i would do a full inspection of the engine bay and exhaust. i think if someone stole your cat, the sound would be obvious.
maybe you just need a throttle body cleaning.

did you put in new oem plugs at 120k?

I just recently changed the mid section exhaust so, yes I would know what it would sound like if it was missing.
No I didn't put oem plugs in. Are there any common air leaks that occur?

Is the resonator that hangs off the air intake pipe still all connected up correctly?

Your in early stage of hybrid battery failure. I know what that feels like I have been through it.

You have a choice you can buy a hybrid battery charger and it will extend the battery a few more years I am on my 2nd year of hybrid battery rejuvenation or start thinking about a battery rebuild or purchase of a new battery. $$$$$.

There's literally a thousand posts about hybrid battery failure and rebuild on this site as battery failure on a G2 is becoming the #1 post. .

You have pretty low mileage on that 2006 which kinda works against you hybrid battery wise. They like to be used and charged almost daily.

Mileage will tank and you will start seeing daily battery level tanking to one or 2 purple bars real fast. The hybrid battery is no longer supplying the power it used to which means all locomotion must come from the tiny little 90 horsepower engine which means you have to gas it much harder then you used to to get going. Tough on the engine. That full load on the engine will expose any tiny ailment the engine has like noises you never heard before. Eventually the battery will throw the RTOD red triangle of death on the dash and the car will go into limp mode and you will be unable to drive it. While you get through this high load on the engine make sure the engine oil is in good shape and keep the oil at the full line on the dipstick. The engine takes a beating with no auxiliary power from the battery. Last thing you want is to damage the engine too from lack of oil which is a very common occurrence we see in this site.

Its a fabulous little car till it needs a new hybrid battery. Then it’s an expensive hassle with lots of education about battery’s as you go along.

Here's the charger for the battery:

    Good luck.

I have a battery changer and discharge from that company, and I am seeing purple bars when full acceleration.
But when I scan the system the battery levels min and max don't seem too bad. I will take a picture tonight and see what you think.

So your saying the battery is blue but when you punch it it then drops to purple bars real fats? That's not good.

How many hours do you do for a full battery charge? And have you done a full battery discharge yet?

When I floor it, the car hesitates most times and after a few seconds will pick up. But then the bars start to drop as I am flooring it. I can go from full to 1 bar in about 30 seconds. Then it will charge up if brakinging over 30 seconds or so.
Here is a screenshoot when driving, as I am not sure which block I should change first.

I did a discharge and a charge 2 times. Over the space of about 3 days.

That's not enough. A full charge alone should be at least 30 hours maybe more.

So full charge is 30+ hours. last one I did was about 36 hours.
Full discharge is about 20 (can't remember its been a while)
    Another full charge 35+

Is there any blocks that look worrying from the attachment?
