My '08 has the same wipers I bought it with 26 months ago, and it's time for new ones. I've always had the best luck (on previous cars) with OEM Toyota wipers, and I'd like them for my Prius.

Thing is, Toyota sells refills, but they only fit OEM blade assemblies, I believe. And I'm not sure if/how to determine whether the blades currently on my car are OEM or some other brand that won't take the Genuine Toyota refills.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

OEM wipers are overpriced garbage... Just go to a department store or auto parts store and buy the single blade style that are solid rubber and don't have those silly rickity plastic-metal cages that the blade mounts in and often comes loose after a while. Here's the one I bought a few months ago for my '07. Best blades I've ever bought! Much cleaner look and less things that can brake when you go bracketless: 26" & 18" INCH Pair Bracketless Windshield Wiper Blades J-HOOK OEM QUALITY | eBay

I don't see why not, I got 5 years out of a much lower quality pair... But ask me that question in 26 months... Though they'll last way longer with me than other folks because I often detail my whole car and they'll get lots of rubber protection stuff on 'em in the process of making the car look nice. Also it doesn't get sunny very often in the PNW so UV damage is only a problem for a month or so every year.
