Hi all. I love my Prius and I love green LED lights!

I want to add Green LED strips underneath my car. The problem is, I only want them to turn on whenever I turn on my headlights.

how do I go about this ??

I was able to successfully install the same led strips to the side doors since the light only turns on when I open them.

Ensure you look up your local laws regarding underglow lights, in some areas any colors other than white is illegal to have. I imagine if you connect the power to the fuse box you could power it with another switch, so you don't always have to run the green lights.

...green LEDs under a GEN II Prius...in Oakland? The State's Vehicle Laws will be the least of his worries.

Didn't realize his location, California apparently doesn't care as long as you have no red lights in the front of your car so OP is fine with whatever he does.

You could use either, whichever is easiest. They do the same thing, just different places. If it's on the outside of your car, probably easiest to use the engine fuse box.
