Excessive White Particle Dust in Cabin. What is it?

Here are photos of white dust on dash - is it from a bad AC Evaporator ?

The white crap all over the interior is dried skin from your hands coming off the cheese grater steering wheel. Bet you have very dry skin.

It stopped after I put a wheelskins cover on the steering wheel. It is an awesome wheel cover and the one on my car is now 12 years old and still looks good. So much better feel than the stock wheel especially a g2 which is awfully rough on the hands. $50 real leather in any color or style. Amazon.

I use them on all my cars. 2 things a new to me car gets is a wheelskins and a weather tech window shade.
They sell them here. Mine is now 12 years old and still pretty good. Insulated custom fit window shade. A must for G2 so the hybrid battery does not get cooked.

 

Any updates on your situation? I've been having the same issue with my 2016 Prius C. It's sad that the people who are responding to your comments are making jokes. It's NOT funny if it might be affecting your health!

 

Perhaps you should find or ask your question in the Prius c forums. If it is something like the make-up of the steering wheel, as suggested by edthefox, it might not be relevant to a Prius c owner, unless the same steering wheel was used in a Prius Gen 2.
