Since my wife is a fan of ALL options possible, the difference might be ~$30K.

I'm sure I'm still a good 2 years away from this possibility anyway.

Any color but pearl white is $1000. The larger sport wheels are $1500. The white interior is $1000 more than the standard black. Two seat third row is $3000, and the full Autopilot is $7000. As the latter can be purchased by OTA, you could push that off, and hope she remains happy with the standard driver aids. The performance model adds $9000, but the standard one is going to be beating the Rav.

If the Rav4 Prime is priced at the tax credit value over the hybrid, the optioned out XSE will be $44,385. The Model Y AWD long range, with all but the third row, is $62,500 on Tesla's site now. So, ~$18k more, but more likely closer to $20k with Toyota incentives.

Only if she takes it to a custom shop after delivery. :p

For what it is, the Model Y isn't much more. The standard range one will undercut the NX hybrid Luxury, which probably closer to Tesla in terms of features, by thousands. Now the Rav4 Prime will have the federal incentive advantage for at least a year, and Toyota may put cash on the hood for some markets.

The Fed Tax rebate and other California incentives make the Rav4 Prime difficult to turn down... at least for me.

Rav4 Prime is not currently listed for any federal tax credit.

It will be once start being sold. IRS can't list a car that is not being sold.
