I am fully aware we need to buy dealer only or handle with amazon/ebay but I am wondering if there is anyone here in cali or close to cali that knows where I can get something asap to avoid waiting two weeks just to get the part.

Thanks and please dont respond with the obvious, lol.

Draino is just up and over the hill, though you might find something in south shore or incline village.

Doubtful amazon or ebay will ship to CA, unless you're ordering a generic cat.

Understood. Was making reference to the neighboring state of Nevada, and it being fairly close to your home city, Sacramento.
Reno (aka Draino) is the second largest city in Nevada, and is known for gambling (hence the reference). Incline Village and South Shore (South Lake Tahoe) are part of Lake Tahoe, which is split down the middle, with CA on the west and NV on the east.

After doing a little bit of research it appears that there are no auto parts chain stores located on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, leaving Reno as your closest place to purchase a Prius specific cat. You could travel to Oregon or Arizona and find a cat, though neither would be as close to Sacramento as Reno/Nevada.

Others here have had good luck (no import duties imposed) when ordering cats (yes, someone ordered multiples) online from Canada, and there is always the possibility of ordering from Mexico.

It will need a ARB EO #, or it won't be CA compliant. If you do find a Prius aftermarket converter with an EO, please report back here.
