    Well, in Europe.
"The Citroen Ami broke cover on Thursday ahead of a reveal at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show and the specs aren't the story, but how people drive one is. Those interested can lease one of these electric cars for $22 a month, grab one from a car-sharing service for under $1 a minute, and those as young as 14 can get behind the wheel, at least in Citroen's home country of France.

There's no driver's license required for the Ami, Citroen says, since it's actually classified as an electric quadricycle, which makes the tiny electric car available to 14-year-olds in France. That age is different across Europe, but nevertheless, the French brand marks this car as mobility for everyone. Availability expands its scope outside the typical dealership model, too.

Citroen doesn't actually call this a car, but an "object." Its definition will allow Citroen to sell the Ami in partner stores. Or you might catch the tiny EV zipping around mobile test-drive centers. For online shoppers, it'll be available there as well, and Citroen will even arrange home delivery of the Ami for 6,000 euros -- about $6,600 at the current exchange rate."
You can lease this adorable Citroen EV for $22 a month and let your 14-year-old drive - Roadshow

Range is just over 40 miles, which should be plenty for getting around a city with the increasing ICE exclusion zones.

Is that the front or back we're looking at? Citroen keeps up it's streak of weird vehicles.

All inappropriate thoughts aside, I can imagine where the possibility of that not mattering could actually be a benefit. Having a vehicle that could be quickly and easily operated in either direction would make navigating narrow city streets less cumbersome.

I once rented a GEO Metro to drive from Birmingham to Huntsville. It was like driving a closet with two motorcycles strapped to the sides.

    I like it!

Of course, what I really want is the pedestrian-only downtown and intercity train service that this car is meant to fit with.

Imagine the fun on the road in Paris with a bunch of 14-year-olds tooling around in these while texting to all of their friends at
the same time. And only $22.00 / month so there should be lots of them.

my smallest, utterly ridiculous car was the Honda Coup Z 600cc. You could use it in lieu of a spare tire.

They are already tooling around ICE quadricycles that might be cheaper. This also isn't the first EV one.
Don't forget the all the ICE and EV scooters and trikes driven by kids and tourists out there.

That's one of the Hondas that I bent the hood in half. Back then, I was used to American cars that didn't use hood props, so when my salesman neighbor got done showing it to me, he asked me to close the hood. Well it got closed half way, but that was about it.
