Hooked up a dead battery about 20 hours ago. The charge light is still blinking. Will it overcharge or is this normal? Thanks iPhone ?
That unit is designed to NOT overcharge the battery, so no worries there. Depends somewhat on how 'dead' your battery is. It could indeed take that long, or the battery could be beyond help.
The BatteryMinder's charge rate is only 1.5A, so 20 hours is not unreasonable. It's mainly designed for use as a float charger and battery conditioner, i.e., de-sulfater.
The instructions said that if the battery was beyond help it wouldn’t charge and has a yellow light indicating if that was the case. It’s still warm so there’s current going through. As long as the battery doesn’t blow up I’m fine with getting a new one. Just wondering if someone had any similar experiences. Thank for the feedback. iPhone ?
