Some stations dropped a penny or two. Meh, electricity is still the same price.

I believe Cramer Mad Money said last night that mortgage rates are up despite the crash in interest rates, so maybe less obvious what is going to happen.

Mortgage rates have to take into account the likelihood of default. I'm not sure that is exactly the same as a month ago for the average worker. Just think of all the wages that are not being received and thus won't be recycled through the economy.

Anyone want to buy a restaurant? An exercise studio?

    I'm signing a re-fi tomorrow morning.

I might be watching my business circling the drain in the headlines.

I'm still signing tomorrow; even if I get creamed I'd rather have this fresh low rate and terms.

    Re: $1 gaso
So I see the RBOB ticker was 0.90 today was about $1.15 yesterday.
That means CBOB must be less than 0.90 which means getting close?

Since when, despite running a big deficit, does government apply proactive spending to any future possible problem?

Looking forward to those prices I'm sure they're just racing to restock. At least you've already got your fill.

    We're at $1.40 for E10.

100% is still $2.21. It never drops as fast or as far but it usually stays about 35 cents higher than E10.

Starting to spot $2.05/gal around. Right now running my PRIME on gas only HV mode saves me ~30% over running it on pure EV mode.:(

do you track your EV efficiency?

on my Volt the efficiency at city speeds is around 250mpge in the real world. Meaning gas has to be under a buck to really make sense in town.

My guess is unless your driveway leads directly into a highway you probably are best off keeping a full tank of EV for city use despite the gas cost or you will actually pay more in the long run.

I can’t imagine a Prime being less efficient electrically in the city than a Volt

Yap. I record kWh used from the grid to charge my PRIME down to 2 decimal place every day, and keep a log of how many miles I run on EV vs HV. And I don't do any highway drive, nor stop-and-go city traffic.

For the record, the PRIME for the most part of my ~3 years of ownership always cost more to drive EV mode than HV mode. I know exactly how much it has cost me to drive PRIME on gas ($0.053/mile) vs electricity ($0.057/mile). It has nothing to do with the efficiency. It is the energy cost difference between you and I. I pay $0.215/kWh for my electricity from the grid.
