Just replaced the ABS module in a friend's '04 Prius with a used one. Bled the module, performed the linear solenoid and yaw rate sensor initialization, accumulator holds pressure, pump runs and sounds normal. But I still have a dash full of lights, including the Triangle of Death, and no start. There are no OBDII or ABS codes stored. I am using a Foxwell NT650 ABS & Airbag scanner.

Tried a manual reset (jump pins 4 and 13 on the OBDII connector, power on, then depress brake pedal 8 times in 5 secs). Brake and ABS lights blink steady about 2x/sec, indicating no codes stored. Shut down, pull the jumper, and restart - lights are still on.

12V battery is new and I have a charger on it while troubleshooting.

What am I missing? Thanks in advance!

Looks like I have some weak modules. Car sat about two weeks. Could the low modules have anything to do with this?

Use a scanner that can read the codes that are stored, and the reason the lights are on should become clearer.

Aye, there's the rub. Until now I have had no issues pulling codes with this scanner, including ABS and HV battery codes, on this car and others. Got any recommendations, if I indeed need a different solution?

I pulled the HV battery and had three modules below 7V, if that matters any. I am doing charge/discharge cycles on them now.

Issue is fixed. One of the two HV cables that plugs into the back of the inverter wasn't fully seated. So basically I'm an idiot.

Upside is this was impetus to pull the HV battery and go thru it.

The trouble codes would likely have sent you in that direction much more quickly, and saved you the goose chase through the battery.

(I say this more for the benefit of future readers of the thread, not to pick on you!)
