Well, I had the red triangle along with vsc, check engine, abs, exclamation light, and red brake light on my 2006 toyota prius about a month ago. I wound up getting the HV battery replaced with a new HV battery from the local toyota dealership. The red triangle is gone but the car still has the other lights on. Prior to replacing the hv battery I had it scanned and the codes for abs /vsc/ trac were these: C1203 c1310 c1345 c1392

The car has a soft pedal and a grabby/ uneven feel to the brakes at the bottom of the pedal stroke. I am wondering what my next step needs to be in terms of fixing this braking problem? Any input or advice is greatly appreciated!

California is a pretty large state, which metroplex are you near?

Are there any warning lights on the dash currently?

Best to have the codes (DTCs) read again, which OBD2 reader was used last time around?

I couldnt say which scanner it was as I didnt check with the shop. The full series of codes given to me when the red triangle was still up were:

    C1203, c1310, c1345, c1392
    B1421
    P3000
    P0A80

It was recommended to me to have the HV battery replaced. I replaced the 12v battery as well as the HV with new OEM unit. The red triangle is gone and the lack of tourque/ no electric mode have gone, the car now has the electric mode and what feels like proper torque from the electric motor. The lights still on the dash are tbe red brake light, and the yellow exclamation mark, abs, and vsc. The codes are unable to be cleared from the car as well.

I am in the LA county area.

You had the HV battery relaced on the basis of those codes? None of them indicates a battery problem.

The C1203 indicates a communications problem between the ECM and the Skid Control ECU
The C1345 and C1392 set by the ECB (electronic brake control) system indicates a couple things need calibration.
The C1310 is set by the Enhanced VSC system acknowledging to let other systems know there is a problem with the HV (hybrid vehicle) system.

I'm surprised the dealer went ahead and replaced the battery and never mentioned you car had these codes.

No the dealer did not replace the battery, the replacemment battery came from the dealer. Also, no it was not replaced based on those codes, there were other codes mentioned here.

    Yes, I did read that.

So is it correct you are doing the work? If so (or even if you are getting the work done by an independent) with those remaining codes, I would probably just start with the troubleshooting sections in the manual (more info) and figure stuff out from there.
