I'd agree but the contrast is so high on that picture you can't see the wheels!

Final snagged a set of JDM taillights with the built in Foglight. Been waiting for a clean set with all attached wires for long time!

Why a foglight at the rear?

Is that a serious response? What color is a "rear foglight"? Is it a brighter-than-standard red? It surely can't be a brighter-than-reversing-light white, which would be illegal.

Yes it is red in color, yes it is brighter then a reverse light, it is not illegal and is mandated in almost all European countries. Many German cars are sold in the USA with this feature.

I had one on a Jaguar I used to own ;).

    It is a thing:).

They are brighter than the normal red lights(y).

OK. How is that achieved? Are the brake lights powered on (perhaps at lower-than-normal brightness)?

No - has nothing to do with the brake lights. It runs on its own switch if your installing it after the fact. But from the factory it’s incorporated with the head light switches, having its own settings for front and back fog lights.

How are they connected? Wouldn't you need additional wiring from...? I don't know: where would they be connected?

Yes of course. Wiring, relay, inline fuse and a switch is needed. Just like installing front fog lights.

    Hello,

I'm new, but not new. Been a lurker for a minute now and just felt like introducing myself. Daily is a 2014 Prius 2. 20200516_193817.jpg

Hybrid Pitstop coming in clutch yet again! Cusco front and mid power braces installed. After some spirited driving before and after installation, I can 100% recommend this for anyone who wants a sportier drive. Before installation I had Tein lowering springs, cusco front strut bar, TRD rear sway bar and an ultra racing rear strut bar. After installation the car is much more planted in turns and has less pronounced under-steer.

The girls from next door were fascinated by my wife working on the car with me, so they got to ask all the questions they want about working on cars while we worked.

Yes!! Thats exactly how I got started. Watching the neighbors, asking questions, next thing I knew is I got the car "bug".

I've owned my '05 Cooper S for 11 years and it's still on stock suspension and it needs replacing now... then I've owned the Prius for 8 months and lowered it. That's my kind of logic!!! TRD springs and rear swaybar installed today. It was definitely worth it, the car doesn't lean like a 99 Camry anymore and can take a corner decently now. Letting it settle before getting it aligned. Now I need bigger wheels and tinted windows.

If you want an equally impressive improvement in cornering and stability, check out the Cusco Center and Front Power Braces. They're about a 30 minute installation including jacking up the car safely. I've had mine on for about a week and haven't been this impressed with a modification since the rear sway bar. Hybrid Pit Stop has them if you're interested.

Worst part is that it was on the lift at work and it was easier to take a picture, but really wanted to lower the lift back to see if I could get the arms out from under it and didn't want to look a bit weird in front of my coworker who stayed to help.
