2005 Toyota Prius Engine code P0319 P0318 P0A80

    I recently bought a Toyota Prius from a private party. I am quite familiar with Prius. It was rather cheap so I thought I got a good deal but I got these three codes. He said that only the battery was bad. And I thought I could fix it by replacing the failed cells. I am yet to open it up. But I am confused by the other codes? What do they mean? Or are they related to the HV battery failure?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much! It’s a really nice ride. I just want to figure out the codes and fix them.

    Are you certain of those first two codes? Any chance they could be P30.., not P03..?

    It would be hard for me to explain a P0318 or P0319 unless the car had been really heavily modified and the engine-compartment area was now really wide, like a hammerhead shark.

    Omg, haha I am so dumb haha yup it’s what p3019 and p3018. I guess there are couple of modules on their way out

    There are a couple of blocks reporting a problem with one or both of the modules within those blocks. More than likely at least one module in each block has a failed cell. There are 6 cells within each module that could be a candidate for the failure.
