    Hi everyone.

I'm taking work out of town and have to move. And, sadly, we've decided to sell the Prius. Love, love, love this car! But we have three, I'm taking two, and probably only need one.

    The details:
    • 2012 Pip Advanced - includes some great features like leather seats, fully powered drivers seat, seat warmers, dynamic cruise, heads up display option, and even headlight washers (never actually used them...hmm...)
    • Powder (power!) blue
    • I'm the second owner - had it for about 3 years.
    • Mileage: approximately 61,700 (will change slightly with daily local driving)
    • All mechanicals are solid. Just had the filters replaced and battery fan and duct cooling system cleaned at $tealership. Have all the most recent paperwork from the dealership - happy to share all info.
    • Tires - Michelin Premiers - good life left with 6/32 all around.
    • Brakes - like new, just did a service last year - LF/RF @9mm, LR/RR @8mm
    • New wipers as well from $tealership (not requested but they did it anyway...so...there's that!)
Has some additional features and accessories I've added since including ceramic tint all around (except windshield), weather-tech floor mats (have original), hidden hitch, and shark antenna. (Have original)
    Other little cabin details.

PLUS, I have items that haven't been installed - window channel rain guards, lower door trim (specific for Prius-plug in) and also motorized folding mirrors. I want to say I bought them on here a couple of years ago for $650?? I can find info. Cool project for someone. It all comes with the car.

The bad: Wish it was pristine, but it has some typical "love kisses" from being parked in NYC :( Tried to document everything in the pictures. The car also a "false accident report" on Carfax, but not on auto-check. The previous owner had TWO priuses, and the insurance company reported originally on the wrong one. So they tried to clear it up but gave up after awhile. I doubled checked before purchasing with a mechanic who said there was absolutely no evidence of damage, frame or body. The original owners were good people and I trust them.

Price: $10,000 for everything. Located in Leonia, NJ 07605

Because of the move, I have TWO weeks to sell this. I think I reflected the urgency in the price. I would love this to go to a fellow Prius chat member. This forum has been so great to me over the years!

SOLD! Thanks to @DTKim for a great sale. Good luck with the new toy!

Always nice to meet other PriusChat members and glad it stayed in the (online) "family!"

So it's sayonara for now PriusChat. I thank you all for your help and wonderful support. There are very few forums like PC out there so I hope that one day I'll be back, asking for more advice on how to eek out a bit more mileage or replace a part. I've learned a lot here - thanks to you all!

    Cheers!

TL;DL: Great honest seller and PC community member, pure luck to randomly visit PC to find this LOCAL deal hours after it was posted, laundry list of things to address w/ some already addressed, and patiently waiting for NJ MVS to open up for private sale registrations.

@KCobby is a great and honest member and I enjoyed the meet up. I've been socially isolated for months so it was good to get out and talk about hybrids/EVs. I probably went off topic a few times. :)

@ttou68 , the irony is I've been off the PC boards for a couple years when I sold my 2010 and got a 2013 Volt (free charging station at work). I've been on/off searching the other typical haunts (craigslist, eBay, Autotrader, etc.) for my brother who's 2004 Prius has 200+k miles and he's looking for a replacement. I was casually looking for a Prius Advanced Tech package (non PiP), especially since I'm not likely to return to work to get free charging for at least 6 months, if not longer, and I happen to jump on here (don't recall what triggered me to do so). Since my brother has no place to charge at all, I'm going to keep it for my wife and I to enjoy. She also likes the color, so win-win (happy wife, happy life). AND, we are literally less than 10 miles away from each other so getting it home was a snap! I was a few hours away from talking with my wife (when she got home from work) to go see a 2011 w/ solar package in PA (3.5 hours away) when I saw this ad. I almost lost hope when I went to sleep early w/o a reply, but woke up in the middle of the night to a nice surprise in my inbox!

Initially, I thought there's not much that I need to "research" since I've been on PC for my Gen 2 Touring and Gen 3 vehicles and @KCobby took good care of the car the last few years. That said, since I plan on keeping this for life, I'm going to invest in a Hotchkis RSB (Same as what I installed on my 2010; just ordered and totally required with my driving style), sound proofing (since its kinda noisy, over 65mph and I regularly go... higher...), rear seat heaters (for the kids), cleaning out the intake manifold and EGR system (to avoid the headgasket problem), early plug replacement (while the cowl is off), coolant (since the EGR will drain a little anyways and it's 8 years old now), ATF WS change ($40 peace of mind), Navigation update (still debating dealer upload, complete headunit upgrade, or deal w/ my phone on the dash somewhere...), speaker upgrade (especially for a little more bass up front), 12V battery (8 years old and tested below 12V, via dash diagnostics, when I went to buy it), and replace one window tint (which he disclosed the damage when I got there and I probably wouldn't have noticed). Okay, maybe I will need to be on PC a little more often for some research and opinions... lol.

Now, it's a waiting game for NJ MVS to be open for private sale registrations... I already cleaned out the EGR pipe and valve (not cooler) while checking the condition, throttle body plate, and MAF sensor (w/ sensor safe cleaner). Also poured a couple ounces of MMO in the tank and filled up w/ Premium (Costco) since it hasn't been driven much the last few months to keep the gas fresh(er) and less likely to pre-detonate since I didn't know the condition of the EGR until I got it home to take it apart. (Notice I'm uber-sensitive to the headgasket issue?).

Yeah, I guess you can tell I'm excited to have a new "project" car to work on to keep me sane...
